The Simadyn D control system was connected to the two control stations with
the IPCOMM protocol converter
ipConv.
Communication between the protocol converter and control station runs on the IEC 60870-5-101
protocol. Communication towards the Simadyn D is handled by Sinec-H1 and the proprietary Simadyn-D protocol.
The hardware platform (a 19" industrial PC) has a special 125 V DC power supply.
