Compared with the FSC Maraba / Acailandia project, the protocol converter connects to the
control stations via redundant lines.
Communication between protocol converter and control station is effected via
IEC 60870-5-101. Communication towards Simadym D runs on Sinec-H1 and
the proprietary Simadyn-D protocol.
The hardware platform (an 19" industrial PC) has been fitted with a special 125 V DC
power supply.
